I believe in the power of design to empower others. I have a strong background in user research and am expanding my horizons into interaction design.
I love leading teams and am working towards becoming a Product Manager grounded in design in the future. I believe that effective design leaders are ones that take the time to learn the strengths, weaknesses, and work styles of their team members in order to best lead their teammates.
journey to ux design
My decision to pursue UX was highly influenced by my tech-savvy family. I grew up watching my parents make positive impacts on the world through computer science and I have been able to see technology’s potential for innovation. This, combined with my creative mindset made me realize that I wanted to join a program that would allow me to solve big problems in the world while utilizing my creative side.
I’ve been in Purdue’s UX Design program since 2016, and I can truly say that it is the single best decision I have made in my life. I’ve grown to be more confident in what I can do, I’ve learned the importance of hard work, and I’m overall a happier person because I wake up every morning excited to do impactful work.
what i’m up to now
Most recently, I interned at Adobe in San Francisco as a design intern. I was part of the Extensibility and Partner Ecosystem team which dealt with Creative Cloud integrations with products outside Adobe. Through my internship I was able to expose myself to an Agile method of project management and learn from experts in the field of design.
To stay updated on my current ventures, you can follow me on Medium where I talk about design and other life experiences.
In September 2018 I helped organize Purdue’s first ever design hackathon. Video coming soon!
